    Product Features

    • ◎ Superior Sealing & Waterproof Performance

The inner hot melt adhesive has a low melting point and strong adhesion. During heating and shrinkage, it melts to fully fill irregular gaps on the surface of the wrapped object, bonding firmly to various materials like plastic, rubber, and metal, achieving reliable waterproof, moisture-proof, and airtight sealing.

    • ◎ Excellent Insulation & Mechanical Protection

The outer radiation-crosslinked polyolefin material offers high insulation resistance, good flame retardancy (except for clear types), and high mechanical strength. The medium-wall design maintains a degree of flexibility while effectively enhancing overall protection against abrasion, cutting, and mechanical stress buffering.

    • ◎ Broad Temperature Range & Stable Shrinkage

The product maintains stable performance within a continuous operating temperature range of -45℃ to 125℃ (clear type: -45℃ to 105℃). The initial shrinkage temperature starts around 70℃ or above, with full shrinkage typically achieved at 125℃, ensuring a quick and even shrinking process.

    • ◎ Strong Environmental Adaptability

The structure adapts well to irregularly shaped objects. The crosslinked polymer material exhibits excellent resistance to chemical solvents, acids/alkalis, and aging, suitable for various complex environments.

    • ◎ Flexible Specifications & Environmental Safety

Available in multiple shrink ratios such as 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, etc., to fit cables and connectors of different sizes. The product complies with ROHS environmental standards, ensuring no release of hazardous substances.

    Installation & Usage Guide

    ◎ Preparation:
    • Ensure the surface of the cable or object to be wrapped is clean, dry, free of oil, and sharp burrs. Select the appropriate double-wall heat shrink tubing size based on the object's maximum diameter (the recovered inner diameter should be slightly smaller than the object's diameter).

    ◎ Installation Steps:
    • Slide the double-wall heat shrink tubing over the desired location.
    • Using a heat gun, oven, or other heating tool, apply heat evenly from the middle or one end, moving along the axis and circumference.
    • Observe the tubing shrinking uniformly until it tightly conforms to the object. The inner adhesive should melt and slightly extrude from both ends, forming smooth sealing beads.
    • Allow the tubing to cool and solidify naturally after heating.

    ◎ Precautions:
    • Keep the heat gun moving continuously during heating to avoid localized overheating that could char the outer layer or carbonize the inner adhesive.
    • Ensure the heating temperature reaches the full shrinkage requirement to allow the inner adhesive to melt completely for optimal sealing.
    • Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.

    Frequently Asked Questions

QWhat is a double wall heat shrink tube and how does it differ from a single wall type?
A double wall heat shrink tube consists of two layers: an outer radiation-crosslinked polyolefin layer and an inner hot melt adhesive layer. Unlike single wall tubing which only provides mechanical and electrical protection, the double wall version also delivers waterproof, moisture-proof, and airtight sealing by melting the inner adhesive during the shrinking process to fill gaps and bond firmly to the substrate.
QWhat shrink ratios are available for this double wall heat shrink tubing?
This product is available in multiple shrink ratios including 2:1, 3:1, and 4:1, covering a wide range of cable and connector diameters from φ3.2mm up to φ125mm. Custom sizes beyond the standard specification sheet can also be arranged upon request.
QWhat is the operating temperature range, and at what temperature does it begin to shrink?
The standard product operates continuously between -45℃ and +125℃ (clear type: -45℃ to +105℃). Shrinkage begins at approximately 70℃ or above, and full shrinkage is achieved at 125℃. The recommended shrinkage operating temperature range is 125℃ to 200℃.
QIs this heat shrink tubing compliant with EU ROHS environmental standards?
Yes. This double wall heat shrink tube fully complies with EU ROHS environmental standards. Hazardous substances including Cadmium (Cd), Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Chromium (Cr), PBB, and PBDE are all controlled within permitted limits as verified by IEC 62321 test methods, ensuring no release of harmful substances during use.
QWhat industries and applications is this product best suited for?
This product is widely used across automotive and marine manufacturing (wiring harness protection), power and energy engineering (cable joint sealing), electronics and communications (PCB solder protection, wire harness bundling), industrial equipment and piping (anti-corrosion, mechanical buffering), and consumer appliances (strain relief and insulation sealing). Its versatility makes it suitable for any application requiring reliable waterproofing, insulation, and mechanical protection.
QHow should I correctly install and use the double wall heat shrink tubing?
First, ensure the target surface is clean, dry, and free of oil or sharp burrs. Slide the tubing over the desired location, then apply even heat using a heat gun from the middle outward or from one end to the other. Continue until the tubing shrinks uniformly and the inner adhesive slightly extrudes from both ends, forming sealing beads. Avoid keeping the heat gun stationary to prevent overheating. Allow the tubing to cool naturally before handling.
