Product Overview

Silicone cold shrink tubing, also known as power cable silicone cold shrink tubing or high-expansion ratio silicone rubber cold shrink tubing, is a high-performance protective accessory designed for cable splicing and termination insulation in harsh environments. It is manufactured from specially formulated high-purity Room Temperature Vulcanized (RTV-2) silicone rubber using platinum-cured technology. The tubing is pre-expanded and held on a removable supporting core. During installation, simply pulling the core allows the tubing to rapidly shrink back onto the cable or joint due to its exceptional elastic memory, forming a permanent, reliable seal and insulation layer without the need for flame, heat guns, or sealing tapes.

‌Installation & Usage Guide

  • ◎ ‌‌‌‌‌‌Preparation‌:
    • Ensure the cable joint is properly prepared, with a clean, dry, and smooth surface free of burrs. Verify the cold shrink tubing size matches the cable outer diameter.

    ‌◎ ‌‌‌‌‌‌Installation Steps‌:
    • Slide the cold shrink tubing over the cable and position it at the desired sealing location.
    • Evenly pull the internal support core (or plastic strip) in the direction indicated.
    • Observe the tubing shrinking uniformly from one end until it tightly encapsulates the cable joint.
    • After complete shrinkage, check that both ends of the tubing are properly seated, forming uniform skirt-like seals.
